CompareThe DS18B20 is a digital thermometer that can measure Celsius temperatures from -55°C to +125°C with an accuracy of ±0.5°C between -10°C and +85°C. It also has an alarm function that can be set by the user with non volatile upper and lower limits. The DS18B20 uses a 1-Wire bus, which only needs one data line (and ground) to communicate with a microprocessor.
The DS18B20 can also get power from the data line (“parasite power”), so it does not need an external power supply.
